One day I will run a half marathon
When I started running again back in January I was browsing Pinterest for motivational inspiration. I came across a pin and it stuck with me.
I just grabbed it. I never actually thought that 10 months after I started running that I would actually be running that half marathon. Well on Aug 31 I signed up for my first half marathon. I will be running the Scotiabank Toronto Waterfront Marathon. It makes sense as I have been following the training program for the half marathon from the Running Room. I will actually be repeating this training program through the winter for 2 races next year the Chilly Half Marathon and the Around the Bay Road Race. Who knew when I did that first day of the couch to 5K program doing 1 minute run and 1.5 minute walking intervals for 15 minutes that I would be running 21.1km just 10 short months later. The accomplishments one can achieve in running truly amazes me.
